Hi all!
December is almost over! My deadline is just days away. But I’ve put together a contest for my writer and reader friends–open to people everywhere.
If you leave me a comment about my NEW COVER ART for my forthcoming novel Slow Dancing on Price’s Pier that arrives in April (and is available right now for pre-order), you can win this hand-knit organic cotton scarf made by yours truly!
I know you can’t feel it, but trust me: it’s really soft and warm and yummy, and the colors are both earthy and fun! Yep–it’s the most perfect scarf in the history of ever.
So if you want to win, scroll down until you see the empty box beneath “Leave A Reply,” then fill in your first name, email address, and comment! I’ll be announcing the randomly selected winner here on this blog on New Year’s Day!
Let me know what you think of my new cover art!
Here’s a little peek into the story:
Thea Celik owns a busting, friendly coffee shop on a pier in Newport, Rhode Island. Garret Sorensen has always been in love with her—since their first passionate and heart-wrenching summer romance when they were teens—but there’s a problem: Thea married his brother a decade ago. Now, with Thea’s marriage ending and Garret’s relationship with his brother on the mend, the two find themselves face to face with a second chance. But at what expense? When the bonds of friendship, family, and love are tested, how long will they hold?
And here’s an early review:
“Slow Dancing on Prices Pier is a charming and wise tale of second chances and forgiveness, peopled with characters as full-bodied as the coffee Thea brews.  This book goes down as smoothly as a cappuccino and is just as satisfying. I loved it!” –award-winning author Karen White
So–do you like the artwork? Leave a reply to enter to win the scarf!
Have warm, merry, bright, happy, healthy, jubilant, inspiring holidays!
Much love,
Lisa Dale

Absolutely love the cover. It just makes me want to go down to the beach and read the book. The long summer days strolling on the beach.
Have a wonderful Holiday!
Lisa, you’ve had me since the first book – Simple Wishes – you’re covers tend to take me back to a much simpler time in life. The cover on Slow Dancing on Price’s Pier reminds me of the time I used to spend at beach in Wildwood Crest, NJ when I was 12 – no worries – no hassles. GREAT cover. Looking forward to your new book. Keep up the good work.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
Absolutely love the cover art. The folds on it are such a nice touch. I can’t wait to see it sitting on my book shelf all foiled and embossed….
Lisa,
You “got me before hello” with this cover. The overturned blue flipflop made my heart twitter.

I like the cover here of Slow Dancing on Price’s Pier. Having read your peak into the story, I think the art is fitting. It could be contrued as symbolic. The view down the pier is like a link between the past and the future, and the tossed off foot thongs indicate change. All in all the cover is a visual delight by which I can nearly feel then sand between my toes. Kudos all around. I would certainly read it.
Your cover leaves questions! The books looks very interesting! Congrats!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family, Agatha
The cover of your new book is great reminds me of R.I. wearing flip-flops and walking in sand by the ocean! Your scarf must be beautiful if it is the best ever, wish i knew how to knit! Agatha

Can’t wait to read your new book! Merry Christmas
I like the cover art, but I mostly wanted to comment on the scarf! I’m trying to learn how to knit and I’m finding it impossible! Do you knit or crochet?
It is a delightful switch from the usual guy plus gal pictures on covers. It spurs the imagination.
love the cover; the good old Summertime.
I can here the sea gulls, the waves washing up on shore, etc.
